Document DNADocument DNA

Grapeshot identifies concept and meaning in each document and extracts a contextual fingerprint - the "Document DNA".

The Document DNA can be collected alongside a user's cookie ID - to capture the behaviour of each user - the Personal DNA.

This blend of contextual and behavioural intelligence - the Grapeshot DNA - can be sent as keywords or categories to ad servers, in real-time, to deliver a personalised advertising or content experience.

Dr Martin Porter wrote his original stemming algorithm for English in 1980, since when the "Porter stemming algorithm" has been cited in over 800 academic papers and used by IBM, Google Microsoft and many corporations the world over.

Dr. Porter has written Grapeshot, an IR system with advanced probabilistic information retrieval algorithms that identify significant terms in an article, where the document is used as a "grapeshot" or collection of words to drive implicit queries - all within an XML framework. Grapeshot works with many international languages including French, Spanish, German, Chinese and Arabic.
